Familia - Ramiro Zayas

Familia brings together Argentinian pianist and composer Ramiro Zayas and the Basel Jazz Orchestra in a project for large ensemble where lyricism, rhythm, and experimentation coexist. Through original compositions and new arrangements, the album explores orchestral textures, contemplative passages, and moments of expansive energy, in a language that blends Argentinian tradition and contemporary jazz. With guest soloists and writing that creates a dialogue between color, melody, and interaction, the music unfolds from collective listening and the search for a common sound.
