Gardel - Hernán Jacinto

Gardel is the new work of the pianist and composer Hernán Jacinto, accompanied by Flavio Romero on double bass and Fernando Moreno on drums, tackles some of Carlos Gardel's most iconic songs from a jazz perspective, free from prejudice and full of freshness.

Throughout the album, the musicians construct a sonic universe that rescues deeply popular melodies and reinterprets them with lyricism, virtuosity, and subtle excess. Classics such as "Por una cabeza , " "Sus ojos se cerradon ," and "Yira y yira" are transformed into pieces open to improvisation, where emotional fidelity to the original coexists with contemporary exploration.
