If there was one record that had long been destined for vinyl, it was this magnificent work by Esteban Sehinkman's trio. Released in 2009 as a CD, it now arrives fifteen years later on 140g vinyl made in Europe. A groovy album, recorded in November 2008 (it was Club del Disco's Album of the Month at the time), it features a notable performance by Matías Méndez on electric bass and Pipi Piazzolla on drums. It would later form the seed of Pájaro de Fuego, a group with which Sehinkman defined an electric sound far removed from traditional jazz.
Since this format doesn't allow for as many minutes as the CD, when mastering for vinyl, it was necessary to choose which tracks were left, and the music was distributed as follows: Side A, 1. Villa Vinchy / 2. Tatami / 3. Itati; Side B, 1. 49 Caracoles, 2. Hyper Olympic, 3. El Sapo Argentino de Boca Ancha. Those familiar with this music will know that it is a milestone of creative Argentine music from the first decade of this century, and one that still sounds fresh. The release of the vinyl has encouraged the trio to return, after a long time, to present it again in concert.
