Bandonegro

Bandonegro is a world-class tango orchestra and one of the most original and recognizable groups in the genre. Their music ranges from the traditions of Argentine tango to tango nuevo and their own compositions with elements of jazz and minimalism. With a fresh and passionate sound, the band invites audiences to discover new facets of tango, revitalizing the genre and conquering stages around the world with their energy and authenticity.

Formed in 2010 in Poznań, Poland, by Michał Główka (bandoneon/accordion), Jakub Czechowicz (violin), Marcin Antkowiak (double bass), and Marek Dolecki (piano), Bandonegro achieved international recognition by winning the “PIF Castelfidardo” competition in Italy in the “Tango Nuevo” category. Since then, they have developed an intense international career, performing in more than 30 countries and at prestigious festivals and theaters in Europe, America, Asia, and Latin America. In 2019, they toured Buenos Aires, appearing in iconic clubs such as La Viruta and Salón Canning, and his interpretation of Gallo Ciego was highlighted in the final of the Tango World Championship in Buenos Aires.

Throughout their career they have collaborated with figures such as Daniel “Pipi” Piazzolla, José Colángelo, Rafa Sardina and Roberto Siri, as well as world champions of ballroom and stage tango. With five albums released, their work has been hailed by critics as a renewal of contemporary tango. Their most recent album,Tanuevo (Club del Disco, 2025), recorded at the legendary Fortmusic Studio in Buenos Aires alongside renowned Argentine musicians, is a musical manifesto that fuses new tango, jazz and minimalism, continuing the legacy of Astor Piazzolla with a fresh and contemporary perspective.
