Entre nubes, fantasmas y baile: llega Nubosidad Bailable

Among clouds, ghosts, and dancing: Nubosidad Bailable is here

Alfonso Barbieri releases Nubosidad Bailable, his thirteenth solo album and one of the most personal works of his career. Released by Club del Disco, which also participated in the executive production alongside the artistic development led by Alfonso Barbieri, Nubosidad Bailable brings together twelve songs that explore some of the main influences and creative pursuits of the Argentine musician.

The album is built on a simple but powerful idea: to accept the cloudiness of the present and transform it into movement. In its songs, calm and storm, humor and darkness, the everyday and the fantastic coexist. Clouds appear as a metaphor for constant change, for that which transforms, disappears, and takes on new forms again.

Conceived as a complete journey, Nubosidad Bailable incorporates elements of cinematic soundtracks, Latin American popular music, Argentine folklore, glam, rock, and singer-songwriter traditions. Throughout the album, there are references to horror films, musical comedies, family memories, and the uncertainties of the present.

Among the guests are Gustavo Santaolalla, who participates in "Nube," Renata Schussheim in "Pronóstico," Sofía Bergallo in "Explosión," Mara Santucho in "Este es el mar," and León Gieco in "Mensaje de todos." The album also features co-production and mixing by Aníbal Kerpel, and was recorded between Buenos Aires, Córdoba, and Los Angeles.

Songs like "Nube" and "Espectro Kanji" serve as the opening of this journey, while "Nubosidad Bailable" offers a hopeful perspective in a context marked by uncertainty. Later, there are diverse moments such as the tribute to the Mothers and Grandmothers of Plaza de Mayo in "Spiritual Robot Blues," the literary universe of Mariana Enriquez in "Este es el mar," or the fantastic imagery of "Monstruos de noche" and "Poltergeist."

Musician, visual artist, and producer, Alfonso Barbieri has developed a body of work difficult to categorize, where music constantly dialogues with painting, collage, cinema, and literature. In Nubosidad Bailable, these disciplines meet again in an album that invites listeners to hear, observe, and, above all, dance even when the sky seems covered with clouds.

Nubosidad Bailable is now available on digital platforms, CD, and vinyl. The vinyl edition also features a lenticular cover specially developed for the release, a visual detail that complements the album's imagery and makes the physical format a unique piece within the project.
