Oscar Guinta

Oscar Giunta is an Argentine drummer and solo artist, born in San José, Guaymallén, Mendoza, and based in Buenos Aires. With over 40 years of professional career, he has been a key part of important jazz and popular music projects in Argentina and abroad. He has played alongside figures such as Wayne Shorter, Branford Marsalis, John Patitucci, Herbie Hancock, and Paquito D'Rivera, among others.

He currently leads the Oscar Giunta Supertrio, nominated for Best Jazz Album at the 2021 Gardel Awards, and co-leads URMG (along with Juan Cruz de Urquiza, Guillermo Romero, and Javier Malosetti), with whom he recently released a new album. He also co-leads Swing Summit with pianist Manuel Fraga and double bassist Pablo Motta.

Giunta continues touring the country and the world, participating in prominent musical projects on the jazz scene.
