Extraños Probetas is an instrumental group based in Buenos Aires that develops its musical proposition from a collective experimentation approach. The project’s own description defines it as a “laboratory-style” exploration, where composition and arrangement function as tools for sound exploration rather than closed structures, prioritizing interaction among its members and the construction of a common language.

His music is at a crossroads of influences that include early jazz, the Argentine urban musical tradition, and elements of contemporary rock and pop. This combination results in a dynamic and timbrally varied repertoire, in which detailed writing and spaces for interpretive freedom coexist, reinforcing an aesthetic identity centered on the mixture of genres and the search for unique sonorities.

In 2024, the group released their first EP, Fase 1, as an introduction to their musical universe, while continuing to perform in the Buenos Aires scene and developing new material. With this initial release, Extraños Probetas consolidates an artistic profile that understands music as an open process of investigation and creative dialogue between tradition and contemporaneity.
