Diego Collatti

Diego Collattiis an Argentine pianist and composer born in 1976. He studied composition at the National University of Rosario, continued his education in Buenos Aires, and later at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, where he completed his studies with Detlev Müller-Siemens. He also trained in electroacoustic music with Bruno Liberda. For years, he has divided his activities between Europe and Argentina, combining musical creation, performance, and teaching.

Throughout his career, he has received commissions from festivals, orchestras, and ensembles in various countries, including Wiener Festwochen, Settembre Musica, Grafenegg Festival, Taipei Asia Pacific Accordion Festival, Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano Giuseppe Verdi, Wiener Kammerorchester, Ensemble Wiener Collage, and Ensemble Reconsil. His works have been premiered and performed at institutions such as the Vienna Konzerthaus, the Musikverein, the ORF Radiokulturhaus, and the Jeunesse Musicale.

As a pianist, he is very active in various groups and projects, while his catalog as a composer includes works for duos, trios, ensembles, and large orchestra published by Universal Edition. His music naturally moves between different languages and traditions, reflecting a career marked by both academic training and a connection to Rio de la Plata roots music.
