More than ten years after its original release, "El Sapo Argentino de Boca Ancha Remix" by Esteban Sehinkman returns in a completely new dimension through an extraordinary remix project produced by Club del Disco.
Originally conceived as a unique dialogue between Fender Rhodes, bass, and drums, alongside the exceptional Pipi Piazzolla, and Matías Méndez, the album has been considered for years one of the hidden gems of contemporary Argentine jazz. Minimalist, hypnotic, and deeply organic, the record created its own universe, situated between jazz, groove, ambient textures, and cinematic improvisation.
The inspiration behind the album comes from the "broad-mouthed toad," a fascinating Argentine creature capable of surviving buried underground for long periods of drought, silently waiting until rain finally brings it back to life. In many ways, the music follows that same cycle: suspended, introspective, and latent before suddenly expanding into rhythm, movement, and energy.
When Club del Disco met legendary British producer Charles Webster, one of the most respected figures in deep house and contemporary electronic music, the conversation quickly turned to the idea of reinterpreting jazz-oriented recordings through the language of modern electronic production. Among several albums presented to Webster, "El Sapo Argentino de Boca Ancha" immediately stood out. Deeply inspired by both the music and the story behind the album, Webster eagerly accepted the project.
The result is an extraordinary collection of six remixes that preserve the emotional essence of the original recordings while opening up entirely new soundscapes: deep dub reinterpretations, immersive ambient explorations, and more rhythmic versions that connect jazz improvisation with contemporary electronic culture.

Three of these remixes were also produced in Dolby Atmos at Santi Barguñó's studio in Barcelona, creating a spatial listening experience that takes the music into a completely new sound universe.
Club del Disco will progressively release these remixes digitally, followed by a special vinyl edition that will capture the timeless spirit of this collaboration between contemporary Argentine jazz and modern electronic music.
